Even though we have multiple Christian churches in every town (compared to other nations), in some places seemingly on every block, there is an alarming lack of theological and experiential knowledge of the risen Lord of lords and King of kings Jesus Christ among most Americans.

In no way am I trying to scare my readers. But I do want to say without reservation that this is not a time to be unclear or fuzzy about where you stand with God. This is not a time to ignore the fact that you could die at any moment and find yourself face to face with your Creator who created you with purpose and with expectations.

. The wicked are always looking for an excuse to justify their rebellion, and one of their favorite excuses is hypocrites in the church or people in the church who practice lawlessness. Peter says our godly behavior and uprightness in observing the laws of the land actually silences such people.

Unprincipled men or women under the church umbrella are a great danger to the health and vitality of Christ’s church. And one of the best ways to avoid this danger is to strive by His power and grace to be a principled man or woman like our Savior.

Almost 50 years later, looking back on all of that, I still think undistracted time alone with the Living God as early in the morning as possible is still one of the greatest gifts He has given to us.

If there ever was any kind of funeral or memorial for someone who died in the New Testament era, God didn’t feel we needed to know about it.

One of the ways the evil one carries out his evil and cunning work is by causing us to elevate our sense of responsibility to family...

when a man begins to follow Jesus a new family culture created by Jesus Himself must take precedence over any aspect of human family culture

He builds our home and our marriage as we learn to walk with Him day in and day out – looking to Him for the humility, wisdom, etc., we need

As our King Jesus builds His kingdom on the earth, He is very much after multi generational body life.

Our Lord Jesus, in seeking to help His disciples learn to pray as a way of life, taught them to ask for forgiveness also as a way of life

It is much better and wiser to let the living God of the Universe determine who we should pursue relationships with.

Taking up our cross daily in terms of human relationships means we daily die to our rights to relate to whomever we want to.
