Pertinent Quotes about the Bible
No book has impacted the lives of men and the trajectories of nations like the Bible has. It continues to be the best seller every year in the U.S. And people in nations whose governments are hostile to Christianity and the Scriptures continue to risk their lives to get a hold of the Scriptures and to read them and to share them with others.

An Open Letter to Church Leaders re: Unity – 11/12/2006
"...I urge you to give some prayerful consideration to the thoughts below. In all humility I strongly believe our response to these scriptures and principles will have great bearing on the health, maturity and impact of Christ’s church in the days to come in our region."

Why We Believe in the Local Church
Contrary to what the doomsayers (whether in the church or outside it) say – Jesus Christ is passionately and successfully fulfilling His purposes for the nations in these last days before He returns. His primary instrument is His lovingly united, faith and hope filled church.

A Study of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
False assumptions continue to be made by believers about the baptism of the Holy Spirit primarily due to lack of thorough dealing with all the pertinent Scriptures; secondarily due to bad or negative experiences with "charismatic" or "pentecostal" believers. This study is provided to bring some clarity to an important subject muddied by many.

Jesus’s Commands to Ask
While we disciples of Jesus should all long to hear His voice better, it is imperative that we grow in confidence that He delights in our asking in prayer. Indeed we can only grow as His disciples when we learn to ask freely, continuously and confidently. This list was compiled to deepen that confidence.

The Call to Ask, Seek & Knock Matt. 7:7-12 – – Sept. 06, 09
One of the things I love about the Head of the Church is He never commands us to not do something, & then leave us to our own devices to stop it. Jesus says, …… Instead of blaming, judging, accusing or slandering – when seeming inequities or offenses take place, which is what the accuser of the brethren hopes you will do; we are to ask, seek and knock in the direction of our heavenly Father.

A Primer about the Sin of Adultery and Sexual Bondage/Immorality
King Solomon writes these chapters as both one who fell for these snares of loose women, and thus who can write from experience; and as one who was inspired by the Holy Spirit to help young men avoid these traps. He speaks of it in nine different chapters. While we have no record of him committing adultery, he appeared to be in bondage to marrying as many women as he could.

“Filled with or Full of the Holy Spirit”
Both in Charismatic and Non Charismatic circles, I’ve noticed over the years the phrase “filled with the Holy Spirit” is used rather loosely and sometimes presumptuously. So this study is designed to ground us a little more in the scriptures, and hopefully stir up greater hunger for more of the fullness of the Holy Spirit – especially as we see the results of those who went before us.

A Biblical Theology of God’s Revelation Regarding Cities
One of the greatest sources of motivation for myself over the years to pray for my city especially (and for other cities from time to time) is discovering all of God's revelation regarding His formation of cities, blessing on cities, judging and punishing of cities, and prophecies of His servants regarding God's future blessing and judgment on cities.

Old & New Test. Passages Re: God’s Intention & Ability to Awaken the Lost and to Revive His church
Jesus once when teaching about prayer asked the probing question, "....However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" Unbelief about what God can and intends to do before Jesus returns for His church is still very significant. Some of that unbelief is a result of not knowing what God has promised and revealed regarding His last days work on the earth. The passages below are given to build our faith and expectation and to help us know how to pray in thes
