I have to say this is where the secular money managers are often blind. They do not understand how the ability to make wealth is one thing; but the ability to keep it and use it appropriately is quite another.

A surprising number of Jesus’s parables have to do with our stewarding of what He has entrusted to us. His purpose for we believers is to free us from all of the things that would keep us from stewarding His money and material possessions well, and thus reaping the blessing of such.

"...God cares about our cities, and sees them as cities, and will judge them as cities; and knowing I need to have more of His heart for my city; and knowing that He calls us as His church to intercede for "...kings and all who are in authority..." (I Timothy 2:1,2) I developed a prayer tool for myself and for the folks in our congregation..."

"Paul was not afraid of Satan, but he greatly respected his power, cunningness and ability to mess with believers. He never let his guard down with the evil one."

"....Satan has plenty of bite. His hatred of us and our God, and Israel and the church is beyond what any of us can fathom. And His cunningness is the same,..."

Unless we are giving ourselves to knowing our God and His will and ways, we can easily observe the prosperity our fathers enjoyed and the apparent blessing of God financially and materially on them and deduct that God was pleased with them. When in fact He was not at all.

The people of God today (just as in that day) will never break free of the sins of the fathers until we by the leading of the Holy Spirit identify those sins and see them as God sees them.

It is impossible to walk with God and please Him without an abundance of His grace being poured out on us every day. And yet He clearly says He only "...gives grace to the humble." So we probably should be a little more sober about the problem of pride than we are, and give a lot more attention to the pursuit of humility

God’s strong desire is that we all are increasingly satisfied in Him, and decreasingly looking to the world for what only God can give
