You could have heard a pin drop….I asked the ladies in our congregation yesterday (Jan. 22) if they would be willing to share why they are pro-life; and why we should protect the unborn and discourage abortion. No one knew this was coming, and no one knew what to expect.

"...there has probably never been a time in our nation’s history where so many people – or where such a large percentage of our population have bought into the lie that life should be fair and just (according the latest sense of fairness and justice in popular culture) , and that they deserve an equal share of everything."

When would be disciples begin to truly lay their lives down for the King – choosing to wait for His promised reward rather than pursuing the empty promises of this fallen world – – His kingdom will begin to advance with power.

Well we start where God started – – oneness in marriage. I submit to you this morning that it is out of oneness in marriage that all other oneness and unity and harmony on the earth springs from.

Because of the rife unbelief and perversion among the Israelites and in their culture – demonization was having a hay day. And that greatly troubled and grieved Jesus.

A stumbling block is anything you or I do or say that contradicts or distorts the person, will and way of the Lord.

Because He obeyed and submitted to the Father’s will; He has the joy today – sitting at the right hand of the Father – of seeing men, women, young people and children of every tribe, tongue, people and nation being set free from their sins and being brought into joyous relationship with the Father.

We live in an increasingly pluralistic society that foolishly believes every belief is equal, and every path to God is equal; and every concept of God is equal, and no one should ever believe or especially proclaim anything that might cause someone else to feel less good about themselves and what they believe.

When Jesus was with people –whether an individual, a family, or with the crowds – He took note of their needs, and His heart moved Him to do something about them. The greek verb translated here “I feel compassion” means to “feel deep sympathy” – – it speaks of strong emotion in response to someone’s need.
